Moody florals. Yes, we’ve found that even flowers can be described as “moody”. But hey, we’re not against this. No matter the season, there is a moody floral color scheme.

Winter Moody Florals

Winter weddings are somewhat out of the ordinary, so it’s only right that every detail is unique. Florals bring a wedding to life and add extra warmth and light where other decorations don’t. Every detail in a floral arrangement should express elegance, coziness, and awe. We’ve gathered some of the most inspiring winter wedding florals for inspiration.

Spring Moody Florals

Spring is the start of new beginnings and the coming of warmer months. Spring florals will have more blush and dusted pastels in them. The greens will be a little brighter than the winter and fall seasons. Some spring arrangements have berries mixed in to represent the new growth in the season. Take a look through our favorite moody spring florals below.

Summer Moody Florals

Being “moody” in the summer is a bit more difficult, but don’t worry there are still options! As you start to build the floral arrangements in your mind, think about what time of day your wedding ceremony and reception will be. Light compliments flowers and coloring. If your ceremony is in the evening look for darker tones that catch the shadows as the sun sets. For a mid-day ceremony, stick to the brighter moody colors. Don’t get pulled back to the sunflowers and lilies, make sure the flowers still have the muted tones. See below for our moody colorful arrangement picks!

Fall Moody Florals

The perfect in-between season. Not too hot, not too cold. It is also one of the best seasons for lighting and unique florals. There are more to floral arrangements than the typical roses, lilies, and daisies. Mix in eucalyptus leaves, trailing vines, branches, ferns, and sweet peas to add extra texture and volume to the bouquet or centerpiece.
