Now the wedding planning begins and the many options to consider to make your special day absolutely
perfect can be a bit overwhelming. To help, we have compiled our list of wedding venue questions to help you condense your wedding venue checklist.
What services does the rental fee include?
You have the venue from 9:00 am until 11:00 pm- 14 hours.
We provide 15 picnic tables, 2 bar top tables, 2 serving counters for food and drink, stage, arbor, PA system, CD player, and many decorations. There is a sink and fridge in the food service area behind the serving counters.
Is the rental fee cheaper if we book a Friday or Sunday night?
Saturday night is the most desired wedding time at The Barn. We offer a discounted rate for Friday and Sunday. Monday through Thursday are lower priced nights than others.
What is the alcohol policy?
Alcohol is allowed and subject to the law of the state of TN. A responsible adult must be in charge of the beverage service.
Are there adequate restroom facilities?
There is both a men and women’s restroom.
Will parking be available?
There are acres of free parking.
Are there any restriction?
No smoking or open flames in the barn.
Is there a place for the wedding party to get ready before the ceremony?
The bridal party can get ready before the ceremony in the large bride’s room. The groom and his men can dress in the large men’s room.
Are there any restrictions to the decorations?
We ask that there is no open flame in the barn and no large destruction to the barn itself when decorating.
Does the event location have overnight accommodations?
There is a nice motel four miles away and several rental cabins in the area. There is no overnight accommodation at the venue location.
Does the barn have air conditioning? Is the barn heated?
We provide both heat and air conditioning for your comfort.
Who sets up and breaks down the tables and chairs at the ceremony site?
We will set up the chairs for the ceremony.
Who is in charge of cleanup? And what time does the venue need to be cleaned up and vacated?
Those renting the venue need to clean up. The event must be over and trash removed by 11:00 pm.
What if it rains?
The barn has plenty of room to accomodate if it rains.
Is the venue handicap accessible?
The Ocoee River Barn is handicap accessible. However, we have a pea gravel floor that may require additional help with the wheelchair.
Are photos allowed prior to the event date?
Photos are allowed prior to the wedding date. However, they will be subject to approval to insure there is no event in progress.
What is the payment and cancellation policy?
There is a refundable $250 security fee.
